Embroidered and woven works

Jenna’s practice here combines painting, weaving, and hand embroidery. “Weaving and embroidery bring texture and depth to the painting, giving it a delicately sculptural quality. The threads play with the light. The viewer can move around and engage visually with the canvas.I explore the space where materials and colors respond to one another, complement and confront each other, conceal and reveal themselves. Images of the senses, like a palimpsest carrying emotional memory.”
