ENTRE -TEMPS (In Between Times)
After the Witness series, Jean-Philippe Brunaud kept moving forward, and the character in his paintings eventually disappeared so that the viewer himself would become the witness.
But for both series, what he is telling is somewhat similar. It’s a story that questions both the state of our planet and the direction we’re heading in the future… He likes to blur the lines so that the viewer doesn’t really know where we stand in terms of time. Is it an image drawn from what he saw today, or is it an anticipation of what might happen later?
