Mats CARDUNER
OVERVIEW
Mats CARDUNER
Mats Carduner is a landscape photographer particularly drawn to the Arctic and boreal regions, conducting numerous photographic reportages in polar areas (fifteen in the past three years). His work focuses on raw simplicity, straightforward compositions, textures, and light emerging behind elements.
Engaged in environmental issues, his photographs also bear witness to the intensity and irreversibility of the Anthropocene’s devastating effects—the human presence in once-pristine nature.
French and Swedish by citizenship, former tech entrepreneur, published in Street Photography Magazine, Philosophie Magazine, recipient of awards (Exposure One Awards, reFocus Awards, 1x.com…), Mats Carduner devotes part of his efforts to the climate cause through partnering and charitable engagement (Solar Impulse, Surfrider, Tara Ocean Foundation, Polar Witnesses) and impact investing (greentech funds, business angels clubs).
